Our Trip to the Zoo

Yesterday was such a gorgeous day that I decided to to take the kids to the zoo and activate the zoo pass. It was the perfect day! It was too early in the season to be crowded with school groups. So it was mostly families that were off for whatever reason. We were able to linger as long as Toby wanted at the different animals, that was so nice. Here's some pics of our trip. I was enjoying experiencing the animals so much with Toby that I didn't take too many.

Sleeping Tiger...he was asleep upside down, that is until I got my camera out. Figures.

He loved watching "mama jaguar" that was really a leopard.

Thanks to Diego's African Safari, we had to say Jumbo to the elephants and watch them for 15 minutes. Thank goodness they weren't just standing there.

Toby laughed like hell as this baby orangatuan did chin-ups while his mama was passed out. He loves watching monkeys being silly. (and yes I know that orangatuans are not monkeys)

Lili rockin one of her cute new sundresses. I made those bows to match. She looked adorable!

Kodiak Bear making a nest (or at least it looked like a nest)

The peacock that Toby tried to pet

"Fish Mommy"

He loves to watch fish. When we came home Daddy asked him what he saw at the zoo and he said "Kitty cats, Fish." The elephants and the following creations didn't even get a mention until I brought them up.

Penguins! We have never been able to get near the penguins, ever! And yesterday we were able to watch them for 10-15 minutes. They were swimming and diving and showing off. It was fantastic!

This pic didn't turn out like I wanted, but it's still cool.

Looking for Nemo. Why isn't the clown fish ever in with the blue tangs? Are they trying to cause a meltdown for the Nemo loving toddlers out there?

Her majesty getting her picture taken .

That's Toby in the Polar bear trap.

Hmm, what's in there?

Laughing at her Mommy

On the move

Enjoying the penguin slide

Petting a kangaroo. We could have went in the pen, but I didn't want to take the stroller in there so he pet them through the fence.

Watching the sea lions.

Don't you just love 75 degree days in early April!

Looks like you all had a great time at the zoon!!! Your kids are just adorable. I love the photos of Toby looking at the fish.

I am so happy the weather is warming up. We aren't quite at 75, but hanging around 55-65...still not bad.
