Missouri Part 3: Grant's Farm

On Friday my PapPap took us to Grant's Farm. It was once the homestead of U.S. Grant and his wife, it is now owned by Anaheiser-Bush and has been for years. The farm has a 250 acre free roaming deer park that boasts several speices of deer, bison, and elk. It also has a petting zoo and some zoo animals, a beer garden (of cousre) and the Famous Budweiser Clydedales and their breeding program are housed there. We had loads of fun despite it spiting rain from the sky and it being cool for Missouri in late June. Here are some pics for the day...

Missouri Part 2: Wednesday June 27th

While in MO, I had limited internet accessibility to be able to post. Therefore, I am going to do a couple of posts to show what happened on the other days we were there. I will start where I left off, Wednesday. On Wednesday we went to my Aunt Tracie's house to visit with her and her friend Kelly. Kelly has also adopted from Guatemala and her daughter Skyler is about 6 weeks older than Toby. Skyler has been home for about15 months and is all girl. Toby and her didn't click at first, but they warmed up to each other, some what. We really, really enjoyed are time there and when we were done we took my aunt out to celebrate her birthday which is next week. So here's how the day played out in pictures......
Mommy, who is that boy playing with my toys?

Maybe I can win her over with my fascinating piano playing.

Ooo, It worked! She came to play with me.

Missouri Visit, Part 1

Hi everyone! We are here in Troy, MO. What's in Troy and where is it? Well Troy is roughly an hour north west of St. Louis and it is where my Grandparents, Aunts/Uncles, and cousins live. We left at 9 eastern time and arrived at 7 central time after an 11 hour drive. It was a long ride and Toby's first long car ride. He did really well, even though we got stuck behind an accident for 45 mins. We stopped a couple of times to let him stretch his legs. He enjoyed the playground in IL at the rest stop. Once we arrived he quickly warmed up to the great grandparents.

Toby asleep during the wreckage removal on the way to MO.

Today we rested mostly. This afternoon after nap, we went to visit the farm were my aunt and cousin board their horses. He liked the plethera of "kitty cats" over the horses. Once we were their for a little he started to explore the horses. He's my farm boy in the making.

Here Horsey, Horsey

Mama, look at all these cats! This is GREAT!

Katie, I don't like the Horse. Let's go chase cats.

He also went on his first horseback ride. He really like riding with Mommy. We got to ride around the yard and up the lane. Mommy really enjoyed it too, since I'm a country girl at heart!

Wasting away again in.....

Margatritaville. Well at least I was as I resume what has been my summer job for the last five years selling concert tees. Last night was Jimmy Buffett if you already didn't figure that out. :) Me, my brother and my Mom all work at the ampitheathere and we were swamped with people all night. At least the music and the sites were enjoyable. Sorry no pics for you at some of the crazy things people were wearing and doing. I do however have pictures of what Greg and Toby were doing in my absence (I worked 14 hours yesterday!). Greg took Toby to the Good Zoo at Olgebay. They had a great time! I'm glad they got to spend time together since Toby, GaGa and I are leaving tomorrow for Missouri for a week. Here a the pictures Greg was able to get. Evidently, I left the camera with very little memory space and a low battery. Oops!

Wow DAD, Look at all those puzzle pieces!

So this is a Lorakete. I don't know if I like the way he's looking at me.

Stay Calma, it's just a Llama Daddy.

Is this not the cutest picture of my boys?!?!
