Since there is NO WAY possible to catch up since May, I hope this will at least make up for not posting just a little bit. I made a slideshow of Halloween, Toby's birthday, and Christmas tree hunting. Maybe if you are lucky I can put together a slideshow later of summer. Toby's Preschool Graduation

I just simply can't believe that Toby is old enough to graduate from preschool. It seems like yesterday we were bringing him home. He had a GREAT year and a wonderful set of teachers. They understood who Toby is and what his needs are and accepted him and loved him as if he was theirs. I just could not have asked for anything more. Now Liliana is begging to go to preschool and Toby is excited to be in "Mommy's class" next school year.
I didn't film whole songs because I was also taking pictures on the same camera but here are some of my favorite parts. Hope you enjoy them too!!

The kids really enjoyed making cookies this year. It's so much fun to watch them get more and more into Christmas every year. As you can see we were all about the silly. Their two favorite cookies to make were the sprinkle sugar cookies and the gingerbread reindeer cookies. While the cookies were baking, they entertained us with the ninja chef moves. Love it...Love them!

Great Tree Hunt

Sorry it's been so long. It's been CRAZY the last two weeks! This are the pictures from our Great Tree Hunt of 2010. We went to a tree farm out by my school. They were super nice. The only problem we had is we are used to the types of Christmas trees that grow fours hours from here....trees that are unable to grow here. So it was a hard decision this year to pick just the right tree. I liked our tree, but I think next year we will try to get a tree more like the ones we are used to. As you can see from the pictures we had no snow. This is the first year since Toby came home that we didn't have snow on the ground for our search. Kentucky made up for it though cause we had 12 total inches of snow for the month of December...it even snowed the day after we picked out our tree. figures. :) Come back again soon because I have other posts scheduled. What we've been up to....

We were very busy over the Thanksgiving break back in Ohio. In fact we did something and saw friends and family every day that we were there. It was a whirlwind and I was exhusted but happy after visiting. here are just a couple of the things we did. You can click on any collage to see the larger version.
We celebrated a special little boy's 5th birthday!

We had fun at Nan and Pap's for Thanksgiving. (I'd like to just say that PapPap was pretending to fall asleep with "Tom" to get a rile out of the kids, only to really fall asleep. lol) And most of the pics in this collage were taken by Toby.

We even got to hang out with our friends Natalie and Joel and their cutie pie, Eliana. Toby and Lili LOVED getting to see her, since they ask about her often.

Last weekend we were blest to have friends from back home come to visit us. All of us loved having them here. The kids enjoyed having other adults to play with and Mommy and Daddy enjoyed the nightly adult time. Here's a couple of pics from our day at the Levee....

Buzz and the giraffe had a great time trick-or-treating in our new neighborhood! And even though our part of the subdivision isn't anywhere near completed, the connecting subdivision is great and so are the people!! We had a blast! And we can't wait for next year.

Why go to the Kentucky Horse Park of coarse! ...very kentuckian. :) It was a nice, relaxing day just strolling through the park and visiting with the horses. We even made it in time to see a couple of the shows they put on. The kids liked the Parade of Breeds because they dressed up the riders and the horses for Halloween. It was really cute!

So I've been a very, very bad blogger lately. I hope these collages help. The first two our from our trip to Hozak's. We go every year, so while we were up visiting Mom and me took them kids for very quick trip after dragging them shopping most of the day. The last collage is from our family trip to a local patch. It was nothing like the ones where we're from, so needless to say we won't be going back. The kids didn't mind it, but then again they weren't the ones paying for it. :) I have some other pictures I need to upload so check back again on Monday to see them. Newport on the Levee

A couple weekends ago, while my parents were here, we went down to Oktoberfest at Newport on the Levee. There wasn't much for the kids to do so we grabbed a drink and sat down to watch the Riverboats. After we finished up, we took a walk along the Riverwalk to the park. The kids loved the park but even more than that they were doing helicopter tours, so we sat on the swing and watched the helicopter take off and land. It was a wonderfully relaxing day! We were recently home for the weekend and a wedding. Since Greg was in the wedding that meant two nights in a row kid-free. I wasn't quite sure how to act, but it sure was nice to just have some time with Greg. Here are some pics from the wedding night...It was held right next to PITT's campus, so we all went to the college bar we used to hang at. It was a great night and a great wedding.

First Day of School

The time has come...the kids are both in school! Liliana goes to daycare ("school") 5 days a week and Toby joins her for 2 of those days. Here are two pictures from their first day on Monday.

Toby is going to preschool at the school where I'm at 3 days a week. Here he is with Ms. Lorrie and Ms. JoAnn on the first day today.

We are busy, busy around here. As I just said, school has started in Northern Kentucky. And on Friday we close on our house here and will begin moving this weekend. The BIG final move will be the weekend of the 27th. I will try and update more once we are settled in the new job, school, home routine.

Beach Bums

We spent the last week in Surfside Beach, SC. It was a wonderful place to take the kids. The beach was well maintained, very clean, and most importantly not overcrowded. The kids loved the beach and the pool at the condo. They had a great time splashin in the waves, digging for shells and crabs, and building sandcastles. We loved being able to stay right on the beach. It made the logistics so much easier. Here are a few collages of some of my favorite pictures. I took probably close to 200 while there...so these really are the favs.

And as much as I'd like to say I'll catch up on blogging, I probably won't anytime soon. School starts in 3 weeks and 2 days...I have so much to do it's not even funny. And I'm a bit overwhelmed...it's hard enough to plan a new year but to do it in a new school and having not taught for 3 years makes it a bit more stressful than ususal. We also will be moving to the new house right after school starts so I have to pack at the same time. Add in there that I have to put my babies in school after staying home for 3 years with them and I'm a bit emotional right now. Blogging is not my first thought, but I promise to at least update once a week until things settle down. Love to all...especially all our family out there. We miss you!

Here's the rest of the pictures from our trip home for the 4th. We had loads of fun seeing everyone. Monday was by far the best...It was us, my parents, and my brother's clan all hanging in the pool, playing and having fun. It was like the days of summer when I was younger. I loved it!!

BIG NEWS!!!!

So as some of you already know, our landlord offered us the house we are renting. When we turned him down he put the house on the market (unbeknownst to us). We have been trying to find something to rent or buy to protect ourselves in case this house sells quickly. We even talked about just buying from the landlord. But we found a FANTASTIC realtor who talked with us about everything. And because she believes in knowing everything before you purchase, off she took us on a tour of newly constructed homes. Well we weren't planning it, but we found a great house at one-hell-of-a-deal and we placed an offer and the builder accepted it. It's in the next town south of us and adds only a few minutes to our commutes. The house isn't even finished yet, as you can see in the pictures. Its 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and the downstairs has an open floor plan. It has 2303 square feet and best yet a level nice sized back yard that walks right out from the kitchen for the kids. And even better still our "neighbors" in back of us live on farms and right behind us has.....HORSES!!! Me and Lili are thrilled. We close on the house towards end of August. We realy excited since we will have PLENTY of room, we expect visits from everyone. No excuses now. :)

Today is my little princessa's 3rd birthday. I have no idea where the time has gone. It seems like just yesterday I was in Guatemala with a confused 8 month old. Now she's happy and bubbly and SO entirely GIRLY. She loves twirly skirts and cutesy shoes. She loves to get a dab of Mommy's perfume and to get her "pretty nails." She's into Princesses, all of them, and into cute little animals. She MUST take lamby and bunny everywhere, but most especially to bed. She is sweet and sensitive and a major drama queen....which I find hysterical. Our lives would not be complete without her. Te Amo mi hija! Feliz Cumpleanos!

Fun at the Zoo with our Guat Group

We had a blast on friday at the Zoo with our play group. The Children's Zoo was finally opened again after undergoing an expansion. We spent a good bit of our time petting the animals and playing on the zoo playground equiment and then lunching with the group. After that, most of the kids were ready to crash. Except mine. So we visited the rest of the exhibits that are the kids favrites and then headed home. I don't have that many pictures because my camera died...go figure. Here are the few I got:

Birthday Ideas....for those who asked

Liliana's birthday is approaching quickly and I've had some requests for ideas. Lili has a plethera of toys, so many in fact that she does not care when some are removed. So we are leaning towards getting her larger items, items that go with the toys she already has, or crafting items. Of course she can always use clothes.

Lili is wearing size 3T in dresses and size 4T in outfits most of the time. She wears size 8 in shoes (she only has tennis shoes right now).

Some toys she might like:
Disney Princesses : She has all of them except Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Jasmine, and Princess Tiana
Play-Doh: They make many playsets. And she loves to play with it.
Craft stuff: Glitter paint, color wonder sets, sidewalk chalk, crafts kits for ages 3 and up.
Books: She LOVES them. She has a TAG reader so books that go with it would be a hit.
Dress-up stuff: She LOVES to dress up. She has the disney princess stuff, but she loves anything that has to do with dressing up. (Please no make-up)
Littlest Pet Shop: She has one of the playsets and would love more animals.

For anyone that is looking for something to give her that would be different....She loves to flip and jump, climb and dance, so gymnastics or dance lessons would be neat.

My Mother's Day Surprise

Greg planned a surprise outing for me on Mother's Day. He even misled the kids cause he knew they would tell me. We went to an earlier Mass, came home and packed a picnic lunch and headed on our way. All I knew was that I needed to dress like I was going to potentially get dirty and that we would be outside for most of the day. I also knew that we were heading South towards Lexington. He thought I'd put it all together but I didn't. I had no idea until I saw the exit sign....

ALRIGHT HORSES!!!! My husband sure knows how to make me happy. Others might find it a bit boring but it was right up our alley. They had some small shows (the one we saw was horses from around the world) that you could see, museums to tour, and carriage tours. They also had several barns with horses you could visit and pet. It nice and open. The kids could explore and touch. And they had a great playground for them. Very peaceful and laid back. Can't wait to visit through the summer when we can possibly catch a competition event too.

Strolling up to the Hall of Champions. We missed the parade but we were still able to meet the horses. They were huge. And It was Greg's favorite part since he likes the sporting aspect of horses.

You could get up close and very personal with some of the horses. This one was ornery but very sweet.

He is just too cute! He smiled as soon as he climbed up there. He's an animal lover just like his Mommy.

Saturday we went out to dinner and then we took a short trip to Barnes and Noble. I'm not beneath bribing, so when Toby asked if they could jump in the puddles I told him if they were good while Mommy and Daddy looked then they could on the way out of the store. They were near perfection (for the two of them anyway) so I lived up to my end of the deal. It's Monday and their shoes are still soaked, but they had a great time. When asked what their favorite part of the day was it was getting to jump in the puddles. My favorite part of the day was getting to see the joy on their faces when Mommy said yes and they splashed around. Mommies out there in blogland....sometimes it's okay to say YES. It's worth the mess, the trouble, the time. It's those yeses they'll remember.

FFF: Easter Memories

Easter Morning was a rush of excitement. Up way to early, the children immediately wanted to find the eggs that were hidden all over the house. That search was given up however as soon as they saw their Easter presents awaiting them in the living room. They played, and egg hunted, and ate yummy Easter bread, and ate WAY TOO MUCH candy until it was time to get ready for church. The Mass at our old parish was absolutely beautiful and praise-filled. A perfect Resurrection Mass...and my kids slept through it because they crashed from their candy high. At least well rested children (bribed with more candy) made for some really nice pictures. :)

The other day we went to a local park (there are tons of them here) to play. We had the most beautiful weather and the kiddos loved being outside again. Their favorite part was the swings. Lili would swing all day if you let her, or had the energy to push her that much. And Toby just loves the playground, all of it. Spring isn't that far off and now that we have had a taste of it, I have a MAJOR case of Spring Fever.

I Can't Believe...

it's been two years already. It seems like yesterday that I was saying good-bye to Toby and Greg and setting off to Guatemala to pick-up Liliana. I got there early that day thinking that I could get Lili sooner. Ha! I had to wait 4 hours for them to bring her. As soon as I said "Hola, mi hija" she started to cry. The nanny tried for 45 minutes to get her to calm down, finally the coordinator told her just to give Liliana to me. She cried for another hour until she exhausted herself and fell asleep on my chest. She was a mess, after all that she had been through, even at 8 months, she could not trust. Everyone said what a good baby she was and I had to tell them that good was no what I wanted. I wanted her to be able to be herself, she was SO scared.

And then there was the whole Embassy mess that held us up in country for 12 days instead of 5 and had us calling senators, congressmen, and who ever else would listen just to be able to bring Lili home. It was an interesting trip, with both good and bad and I wouldn't trade it for ANYTHING! All 12 wonderful, hard days. You can follow along again by clicking the links. Both Alive and stuffed. We love both at our house. Toby and Liliana each have a couple of stuffed animals that they really like, but they don't love any the way they love Bear and Bun Bun.
Bear went with us to pick up Toby in Guatemala. And he has been Toby's constant companion ever since. He goes EVERYWHERE with us, but he's ususally not allowed to leave the car (he is that precious). I don't have any good pics of bear on this computer, they are all on the back-up or poor bear was cropped out of the pic. Here is the one I did find..... Bear as a tree ornament. Bet you didn't know they made such beautiful decorations.

Bunny was a welcome home gift from a friend and it is the only stuffed animal Lili instantly loved. This is how you can find bunny most days. His poor ears won't even come clean in the wash because she chews on them so much. The love between a child and their stuffed animal...sweet and yucky all at the same time.

Then their are our alive animals. They each have a special place in my heart.

Sultan: we took her from a horse farm in Missouri where she may not have made it to see 1. She's now gonna be 8 this year. And she's a Mama's girl.

Mokey: He was dumped in the alley near the school I taught at. He followed everyone around looking for attention and food. He had been in the rain for two days and I said if it rained the next day he was coming home with me. Well he came home and I tried to find him somewhere else to live but he got Greg to love him and that was that. He is by far the sweetest of the cats. He's very snuggly and tolerant. He's our baby at 3.

See those eyes....that's Shivers: She is the oldest and the most finicky. She was born with a disability and was the one kitten my neighbors couldn't get anyone to take. Enter the girl with sucker written across her forehead. She liked it best when it was just me and her but she deals with everything and everyone that has come into our lives in the last 9 years.

Last but not least is our fluffy puppy: Sadie. She loves everyone. She would prefer for the kids to not torment her and she tries to herd them like they are sheep, but she really loves them. She follows them around when we are outside watching their every move. She is a GREAT dog.

Yeah, I know we are the crazy animal people. But God gave me a heart for animals and children. So poor Greg has to deal with it. And he's very good about it. Hope you enjoyed my little animal tour. We REALLY like our animals at this house. ;)

A Daily Occurance...

This takes place every afternoon....as soon as I tell them Daddy will be home soon. They both climb up in the window and watch for his car so they can greet him at the door with much jumping and yelling of "Daddy's Home." The perfect way to come home after a long day at work if you ask me. :)

One Great Weekend

Nan and Pap came to visit us this weekend. We were blessed with 3 days with them. They arrived Friday night to two VERY excited small children. And they stayed through until Monday afternoon. It's much easier to do a breakdown of the weekend, so here it is....

Saturday: Nan and Pap helped us with some things around the house that we were unable to do without further assistance. After getting cleaned up and lunching, We headed down to Newport on the Levee to see what it was all about. It's nice down there during the day but it's hoppin at night! It started to get cold so we headed to Florence to get some shopping done. Pap, Greg, and Toby went home while Lili and me took Nan to Hobby Lobby and walmart. Btw, Hobby Lobby ROCKS! When we came home it was time to start dinner. Me being my brillant self thought I'd use my Christmas gift, a mandalin slicer, to cut the potatoes. Instead, right after my parents warned me to be careful, alittle foreshadowing maybe, I sliced my pinky finger and ended up in the ER for two hours. NaNa said she wanted to hang out with me...but I don't think she was thinking let's go to the ER together. They xrayed, cleaned, and bandaged my wound and sent my on my way with painkillers and a set of wound care instructions. Yippee!

Sunday: Nan and Pap went to church. I was in too much of a Vicodin induced haze to go and Greg stayed to watch me and the kids. Bet he never thought he'd have to babysit his own wife. The kids napped and we lunched and then we left for more shopping. It should be noted here that I was very dizzy so shopping was interesting to say the least for me. Greg got clothes for work and the kiddos and the grandparents spent time together eating ice cream and riding the two story carosel. Then it was out to dinner at TGIFriday's to celebrate Toby's 3 year homecoming anniversary.

Monday: We just all hung out together until it was time for them to leave. We had such a great time with them visiting. We miss them SO VERY MUCH already. Life is not the same here without them. We are counting down the days until The kids and I go and visit them. Here's the slideshow. (I'm running out of memory space so that's what you get)

Where we've been hiding

The majority of people that follow the blog know where I've been hiding. This is for those of you that may not know or that have so many friends on facebook that you missed it. As of Wednesday Jan. 6th, we are now Kentucky residents. We left everything and everyone we knew in my hometown and moved four hours away to Northern Kentucky. Greg took a new job that has tons of room for growth and development. And while we were incredibly sad (and still are) about leaving our comfort zone and the people we love, we are incredibly happy for the opportunity in this economic environment.

The move was not the easiest. With the holidays and everything else, we only had about a week to pack up five years worth of stuff. In those five years, we have acquired two beautiful children and all the "stuff" that goes with them...so lots to pack and sort through. We took car loads of clothes, knick-knacks, and toys to Goodwill and car loads still of trash/junk to the dumpsters and we never even made it to the basement. We are saving that for our first trip back in a couple of weeks. After getting everything basically packed, we had to go stay at my parents since there was no room left for us at the old house. The movers showed up on Monday and they loaded (very precisely) all of our stuff on a large van and let us know it would be there Wednesday. (Ooo goody a camping day at the new house.) We were all ready to leave, all I had to do was go out to the house and catch the cats. They would be riding with me, the dog, and the boy, while Lili was riding with Daddy in his overstocked car. Evidently, I wasn't even gone 10 minutes and Toby started hurling. Terriffic! So Greg took the cats and headed out into the wintery night to trek to the new house. Unfortunately someone had to be there for Tuesday since both the cable guy and the new fridge were arriving. The kids and I left Tuesday morning. Everything went fine on Tuesday and even on Wednesday for the move-in....UNTIL, I got the stomach bug that Toby had and then Greg and then Lili. SO, we didn't get much accomplished last week as far as unpacking goes. We did tons get tons of sleeping and barely eating done, and during periods were we actually felt human, we unpacked.

Today starts a new week and new tasks to be accomplished. My goal is to get 60% unpacked. I know 60% doesn't seem like alot, but there will probably be 10% that never gets unpacked for whatever reason. The 60% would get the kitchen, bathroom, and the clothes fully unpacked. That would really go a long way to it feeling more like home and less like a glorified hotel. I hope to have this finished by the time my parents get here on Friday. FRIDAY!!! WhoHoo!!!

So that's where we have been hiding. We have Skype, so if you have it too, search for me and we can chat. Which would make missing everyone much easier. Also we love visitors! My parents have claimed all the long weekends, but feel free to come and see us. It will be months before we get our bearings and start to fit in around here...familiar faces would be nice. :)

Christmas Morning Excitement

Christmas Morning was wonderful! The kids tore threw the 3 presents Santa brought, the one from Mommy and Daddy, and their stockings. Toby was good at slowing down so Lili could catch up and so we could follow along better. They loved all their stuff. Once Lili opened her car from Santa she was done. It took some convincing to get her to open the rest. After everyone opened all their gifts, Godfather came and said Mass. We did it last year and loved that we were able in the hustle and bustle of the presents to slow down and remember just why it is we're celebrating. Then after that David and me made eggs, bacon, pancakes, and fried potatoes for breakfast....SO GOOD! I've always loved Christmas Morning but now to see it through my kids eyes I love it even more. We were lucky enough yesterday to get a part of the big East Coast storm. We didn't get too much, just enough right around 4-5 inches to play in. I was SO happy because even though we live right below the snow belt, we still get plenty of snow each winter and it's ususally cold enough to be able to play in it for days. When we move, we'll be in an area where school gets cancelled for an inch *sigh.* I will miss our snowy winters....that is not to say that we won't get snow, it just won't be as much or as often. So we took advantage of it.... Still loving the snow at this point

FFF: The Out-takes

Before we get to the pictures, we have news. I don't know how many of my blog buddies are also my Facebook buddies so this may or may not be news. Greg has taken a new job in the Northern Kentucky area.....SO after the New Year (and I mean right after) we are packing up the house and moving four hours across the State of Ohio and becoming Kentuckians. We are a mix of very excited (for the new job and new opportunities) and very sad (because we are leaving EVERYONE and everything we know). It is a difficult move since this is the farthest Greg has every been from friends and family and I only left to go to one year of college. The kids, so far, are handling it well and since I've made it into an adventure they are up for exploring. So there it is, we are the crazy people who are trying to do the holidays and the packing/moving thing all at the same time. BTW, if you live in Northern Kentucky or Cincinnati shout it out...we love getting to know new people. Okay now onto FFF the Out-Takes....

The kids have been asking me to make cookies. So I got on Pillsbury.com (the site is one of my favs) and I found some fun and easy cookies. We got our supplies and set up the kitchen. We made Daddy some Coconut white chocolate bars. Then we made Gingerbread Reindeer (the easiest and cutest cookies ever) and Sugar Cookie Cut-Out Trees. We had lots of fun making messes and eating all the goodies while we baked. We still have a couple different types to bake but we need more supplies.

Sunday we set out to Hozak's to find the perfect tree. I had promised this year I wouldn't be so picky but I did have a few requirements: It couldn't be bigger than Greg and it had to have enough branches to hang our ornaments. As soon as I got out of the car I saw several that I liked, but I wanted the kids to be able to look. Of course when it was time to pick I couldn't remember which trees I had liked in the first place. SO, More looking...Toby found a great little tree but Greg said it was too small. And the kids were tired of looking so Greg trekked to the further sides of our area and found a very nice tree perfect for us....good job honey! Ready, set, GO!

UPDATE:Hello FFF people! We do have holiday traditions, however, I haven't done a one of them yet. I'd show you last year's pictures but those are on the back up drive and I don't feel like messing with it. So you get this lovely video...it is a tradition in a sense. We all love Christmas at my parents'......

So on Sunday NaNa asked the boys to bring down the Christmas tree. My brother announced he didn't need any help and promptly brought the massive (and bright) thing down from the attic. The kids were instantly in awe. Liliana kept saying "Wooooow, Merry MisMis" and "Bravo" which was as precious as it sounds. And Toby took to decorating it with toys and rolled up ads and so nicely encouraged his sister to do so too. It was adorable and hysterical all at once. As if their weren't enough hijinks going on, David decides to stick the Geotrax on top on the tree instead of the upper portion and then preceeds to turn it on. Oh yes we are that family! It was a riot and fun was had by all until a small strand of lights went out and then NaNa was none too pleased. Don't worry it all got fixed and the tree is shining as brightly as ever. Enjoy....

Toby had SO much fun at his party. All of the local family came along with Aunt Des and Jay, and Natalie and Eliana. He played the entire time with Lili, Jay, and Eliana so happy to have friends around to "share" his toys with. He got tons of presnts and made out like a bandit. Seriously, I have to manuver quite a bit to make it through the living room right now and we left the two biggest toys at Nun and Pap's. He hasn't picked a favorite because he loves them all, which is so nice to see. He was such a big boy on Saturday...he greeted each guest and put the packages on the gift table. He also made sure to thank everyone as he opened each gift. His manners made this Mama proud. Here are some of the pictures. Not all of them were good and there were alot of the same thing....I can't believe my baby's gonna be 4 on Wednesday.

This past weekend was BEAUTIFUL!!! Saturday was 65 and sunny and Sunday was warmer but cloudier. Either way we enjoyed some outside activities like the Pitt, Notre Dame game and some time at the new park in town. For some reason the kids think the trunk is a fascinating tailgate adventure and evidently PapPap finds the trunk very comfortable.

Toby was awake for kick-off and the opening drive and then out-like-a-light for until late in the 3rd quarter. He was only up for alittle and then went back to sleep...he was one tired boy.

I LOVE Black and White photos and I have a ton of Black and whites on my old (broken) computer along with the majority of my photos. But I dipped into the last two months and these are a few of my favs. The first 3 were converted to B&W in picasa (which has several BW choices and I'll let you know which ones I used) and the last one was taken with my camera in its B&W setting.

Love this one of Toby...mainly because I could listen to him giggle all day and this captures his precious giggle face. It's a filtered B&W.

I think B&W does a great job of focusing us to the moment and not necessarily everything else going on in the pic. Daddy with his girl is a focal B&W.

I'm also a big fan of landscape B&Ws. This is of COBA in Mexico. It was fashioned after Tikal.

Can't believe I'm posting this one since I have on not one stitch of makeup....It was our very last morning in Mexico. Oh how I miss the pleasant weather and tropical air.

So sorry I haven't been posting. Greg and I went to Mexico for our 5th Wedding Anniversary the 17th-21st. It was WONDERFUL!!!! However on our connecting flight home, we were asked to check our larger carry-on at the plane. It had been a long day and we weren't thinking it would be a problem. I opened it up the next morning to find the back of my laptop had a small dent. No biggie I thought...but man was I wrong. That small dent on the back was a large shatter point on my screen. The screen is completely BUSTED. Continental will pay to get it repaired but from my understanding it will be costly and it may just be cheaper from them to reimburse us for a new computer. Not one part of this is a quick process, so I have very limited access to a computer right now. I can use Greg's work laptop in the evening when he doesn't have Grad school work or regular work to do. So I'm going on a blog hiatus until my computer woes are settled. I hope that will be a short time from now, but I can't be sure. Hope to see you soon!

Pitt Game

Yesterday was the Pitt season opener. We got season tickets along with some family and friends after two years of not having any. It's very nice to know where you're sitting every game and to get to know the people around you. We really liked our last "neighbors" but we moved sections. When Greg got the tickets he specifically asked for undercover and on an end due to the kiddos and the lady swore seveeral times that both requests were meant. However neither was...we are in the middle of a row (having to disturb people everytime they get too bored or need a potty break) and completely exposed to the elements. Now in the cooler months I'm sure we will be VERY thankful for the sun. But on an 80+ degree day in full sun with two kiddos that begin to wilt after so long, well it sucked! I didn't get to enjoy the game at all and neither did the kids. Oh well there is always next time. The awesome view from our new seats. Although I had a harder time following the game since I was always looking at their backs.

Then there are the days like at the park, where they are the best of friends. On Saturday I did something completely out of character for me....I went to a picnic at another Guatmama's house that I had never met (in person). And it was a blast!!! I am SO glad that I stepped outside of my comfort zone. There were five families with a total of 7 Guatemalan cuties. It was like being back in the Marriott baby room in Guatemala.....hanging out with others that understood. And even better than that, the kids LOVED it! All the kids were around their age and they played great together. Toby liked that they all looked alike, which he ususally doesn't notice. But this time he most certainly did because he asked when he could hang out with all his cousins again. How sweet is that! I can't wait for the next time we all get together.

A note about the pictures: I tried to only post ones of my kiddos since I have a public blog....enjoy them. The food was finger lickin' good.

So sorry for the lack of pictures. The camera's batteries died on the way home from Missouri and between working, unpacking, and general life I haven't really thought to charge them. I'll fix that today. :) These are from a couple of weeks ago while I was at work. Greg met up with our buddy Rob and his girlfriend for some playtime at the park. There are more pictures but these are my favorites. Where did Uncle Rob go?
